Children's Day celebrations at Titwala Gurukul on Sunday, 19th November 2017.

What a Tiring yet fulfilling day today. We had decided to leave at 2 pm but a few pending works delayed our team but finally we left Thane at around 4.30pm. Appreciated the patience of Archana, Matsyagandha ji & Specy teacher who waited patiently till we finished our work.

By that time even Anushka joined us even after coming back from a tiring journey to Juhu.

Now that we were ready with all collected items & the freshly purchased Chocolates, Snacks, Juices & Cakes, we handed over the driving seat to our most efficient & skilled driving member, Mr. Vijay Shetye & he drove continuously for 2 hrs to ensure we reached there as early as possible. But heavy traffic along the route delayed us further. Finally, we reached at 6.30pm.

There already was a group of people there & all of them were busy playing with the kids. A few children still noticed us coming & rushed to us.

Slowly one by one All the kids came over. Since they all already had their tea & biscuits for the day, we handed over 2 big bags of biscuits to the caretakers for giving to the Children in the next day morning.

Then we decided to have a photo Session & Gifts distribution ceremony which the children love so while we prepared for it, Anushka rushed inside to the Kitchen & with a few volunteers from there they started frying the snacks.

Meanwhile, we started our photo session outside with the kids. We also started the Chocolate distribution. As per all our programs we decided to give the honor of starting the event to the ladies & there was no second thought or opinion once i mentioned passing the honour to my school teacher Specy Miss.

So we started with her distributing the chocolate boxes to 10 children. Then we followed it up with Matsyagandha Ma'am, Shetye Vahini, Anushka & Archana.

Once the ladies were done, we started with the men by inviting Mr. Sadashiv Chavhan, the man responsible for starting & taking care of this Ashram. Then Vijay Shetye & Rohit finished off with the remaining kids.

After that all the children freshened up & it was time for the evening prayers. After the prayers the children requested us to tell them What to Say as they wanted to Thank Everyone for giving them so much happiness on one day.

Matsyagandha ji took that responsibility & while they all said it, Archana captured the moment in a video.

Then we had the Cake cutting & Snack time & we realized it was almost 7 pm.

So we bid everyone a farewell, we bid all the satisfied & smiling faces Good bye with a Promise to return back soon.

With again heavy traffic on the return route, we finally reached home at 11 pm. Tired but happy & full of sweet memories of those cute smiles.
