Prayas Foundation ReVisits Titwala Gurukul again on Dassera - 30th September 2017.

After coming back from Titwala on 2nd September 2017, we felt as if we had left our hearts behind & our minds kept wandering back. We had an idea now about the Children's requirements & friends who had seen our previous visits photo too contacted us in large numbers. The clothes and Toys donation drive got a very good response from everyone. We collected 5 cycles & lots of clothes & toys. More people wanted to donate cycles but we were unable to reach them.

Received a call from one of our very close friends who is a choreographer in the film industry & he (Imran Sayyed) told us that he & his manager & friend Sabina would be joining us.

30th September 2017 - We load the bags of clothes, Toys & Stationary items in 2 cars & the cars storage spaces are full. We tie the cycles on top of the car. Then we reach Prasanna Sweets shop who have offered us Snacks boxes at highly discounted rates & Welcome Chemists who donated Medical boxes for the children. We had informed the caretakers to arrange a special Dassera lunch for all the kids but when we reached there, they were pleased to know that we offered them to arrange for Dinner as well as the next day lunch. They started Thanking us but we reminded them that we are just the medium & this was all possible because of our kind hearted donors.

This time when we reached there, the kids recognized us immediately & came running to us, jumped around us & started talking to us. We then spent a fantastic day with all of them, playing, having lunch together & teaching them a few things.

Finally we left at around 5 pm with a new requirement list and lots of smiles. We were satisfied but knew the children needed more. So with a promise to come back soon we left the place with a burning desire to do better.
